CLUB TENNIS FINALS – SAT 18th SEPTEMBER

PUT THE DATE IN YOUR DIARY NOW!

The Finals promise to be to the usual very high standard (if the current progress of the tournaments is anything to go by). There will also be junior finals taking place throughout the day from about 10.30am – so why not come along to see just how well our juniors are progressing.

Details are still to be finalised, but we hope to have a BBQ running throughout the afternoon along with ‘Tea & Cakes’ later for the traditionalists.

MONTHLY AMERICAN TOURNAMENT – 4th SEPTEMBER

Don’t forget the next American Tournament which takes place on SATURDAY 4th SEPTEMBER at 1pm.

All adult members are very welcome – that’s Improvers and the Experienced – as the emphasis is on a good social tennis day with plenty of Mixing In! Hope you can make it.

O2 MASTERS TICKETS

1.  We have secured 40 tickets for the O2 Masters Tennis at the evening session on the first Sunday 21^st November 2010 starting at 6.15. Tickets are £61 each.

CLTC Club Open and Veterans Tournament Draw

Just a quick note for all those who have entered one, or both of the above tournaments.

The draws have now been made and have been posted up in the clubhouse. Please make sure you get your matches played by the play-by dates, marked above each round on the draw sheets…

Membership Update May 2010

Following close of the April 2010 Membership renewals period membership numbers remain healthy at:

• Adults [including students]  – 174
• Juniors/Infants – 131

The Committee extend a special welcome to the 30 new and rejoining members and hope CLTC lives up to your expectations [If it doesn't we would welcome your feedback].

There are currently 27 Adults and 60 Juniors/Infants who’s membership has now lapsed, many we are sure through oversight, so we hope to see you back with us at some time in the near future.

Membership Update

Memberships are starting to flood in ahead of the April renewal period [155 nr to date] so if you are still to rejoin or thinking of joining here are my top tips for a hassle free application.

• Don’t make your cheque payable to me.
• Don’t send your cheque to me
• Don’t send your Application Form to the Treasurer
• Make sure you fill out an Application Form
• Don’t send back a blank Application Form
• Don’t forget to attach your Form to the e-mail
• Don’t forget to send in both the details and payment part of the Form.
• Do use the fee calculator built into the Excel version of the Form
• Do save yourself time and money by filling in the Form on-line and e-mailing back
• Do read the Form before applying [B membership is only available to Existing B members]
• Do save yourself money by joining British Tennis [Free online]
• Do include your BT membership number if possible.

 Finally, many thanks to all those of you who have overpaid, surplus membership money will be added to the Phyllis Tuckwell charity contributions.

Membership Renewals – Direct Payment

We are starting to get Membership Renewals through but a number of people have reported problems with the account number for direct payment to the clubs account.

For avoidance of doubt three zeros [000] need to be placed in front of the account number given on the application form.
